Comparable sales I’ve seen put this model roughly around US$3,800 to US$4,200 for clean examples, so this asking price is ambitious rather than a bargain.
That said, it’s still a desirable preamp if you want the Air Tight house sound: open, quiet, beautifully built, and musically persuasive without sounding syrupy. The value improves a lot if the listing includes recent service, fresh tubes, original box, and any factory options or documented upgrades; those matter more here than cosmetic perfection. If it’s truly original-owner and well cared for, it’s a credible buy — just not a cheap one.
