That said, a clean, fully recapped example with professional service and LED refresh can be worthwhile if you want a turn-key vintage Marantz and value presentation as much as sound. The 2226 line is well liked for its warm, musical character and manageable power for efficient speakers, so the upside is in ease of ownership and immediate enjoyment.
