The unit was bought from original owner and stored in a closet most of its life. The owner said it was too complicated for him. It comes with box manual and cover. I would give it a 9 out of 10. It has one very small mark on the bottom of the face.
US$1,595 looks ambitious for a Nakamichi 610 unless this is an exceptionally clean, fully serviced example with the right accessories. Recent used examples I found include a Reverb sale at about US$613 and another dealer-style listing at US$849, while the original Japanese list price was ¥130,000, which puts this asking price well above the usual used-market zone in USD.
That said, the 610 is a respected vintage Nakamichi control preamp: well-built, musically refined, and appealing to collectors who want a serious late-70s Japanese piece rather than a generic vintage preamp. If it’s original, quiet, and complete with the right cables/accessories, there is real upside for a buyer who specifically wants this model; just make sure the controls are clean and all functions have been checked, because at this price you want more than just cosmetic niceness.
