It's the venerated Sansui 9090DB receiver, built like a Mack truck, weighs a ton and made to last seemingly forever. This one's got it all: blue meters, white meters, three tone settings (Bass, Mid, Treble) with variable metering/sensibility for them, (working) Dolby FM circuitry*, TWO phono preamps, three speaker configurations. It sounds fantastic and really makes everything you play through it sound amazing. (*Dolby FM was a noise reduction system for FM radio and all Sansui pieces with that circuitry were famous for breaking down, eventually. This unit still has a functioning Dolby FM module, so it didn't need to be defeated or bypassed. Of course FM stations don't encode signals anymore, but if they ever do, you're all set.)The previous owner did a lot of refurbishing of this unit and had a tech go over the rest, including testing, cleaning, deoxit, and they double-checked the Dolby module.Service History: The prior owner, as we noted above, did some restoration in concert with a tech to help bring this piece up to specs.
