Rated at a conservative 125 watts per channel (minimum RMS at 8 ohms, 20-20,000Hz), it's powerful enough to drive any speakers and satisfy any need—all with no more than 0.07% Total Harmonic Distortion. This combination of raw power and vanishingly low distortion is a direct result of Sony's engineering muscle. At its heart lies a toroidal coil transformer, a more efficient structure that fully exploits the high-performance power amp, supported by two oversized 22,000µF capacitors. The feeling of power throughout the frequency range is unmistakable, delivering an extremely musical performance that outshines many Marantz and Pioneer models from the same era.
