Serious Inquiries only please! Please Check out my other Reverb items! PLEASE CHECK OUT MY REVERB FEEDBACK WITH REGARD TO SHIPPING LARGE AND HEAVY SPEAKERS LONG DISTANCES!I JUST SHIPPED a pair of OHM WALSH2 FROM CALIFORNIA TO NEW JERSEY AND THE BUYER SAID: "packing was better than I’ve had direct from speaker manufacturers!"TRUST MY EXPERIENCE WITH REGARD TO PACKING AND SHIPPING RARE SPEAKERS!PLEASE NOTE: I Provide Reverb Safe Shipping RSS with everything I sell and ship. And, I pay for this protection out of my own pocket. Sometimes it can cost me in excess of $120 depending on the item being protected. This coverage protects both you, the buyer, and me, the seller, against loss or damage during shipment. And, I never sell ANY of my items "As-Is". All my items are guaranteed to look and function as advertised or I will gladly accept a return. What other sellers provide that kind of service? The answer is: Very few, take a look and see!ONLY ONES ON REVERB AND WITH THE BEST PRICE FOR ANY PAIR IN THIS CONDITION!Rare early original Inline model of the JBL L100 Century loudspeakers. These are the original FIRST version of JBL L100 Century not the L100a Century. This version has all original JBL ALNICO drivers mounted Inline instead of staggered in the front baffle, as was with L100a. These JBL Inline L100 Century speakers contain JBL LE20 tweeter, LE5-2 midrange driver, and 123A-1. They are all fully functional and all in excellent condition as you can see from the pictures. The quality of the drivers and attention to detail from JBL is incredible. Even today in 2026, some 55 years after these speakers were made, you rarely see drivers so well made and the sound quality is on par with modern speakers that cost much much more! This early model is now a legendary classic loudspeaker for good reason. Crossover L-pads were recently cleaned with Caig Fader Lube F5 and function as intended. The L-pads and all crossover components are original and are unmodified. No issues with sonics or functionality. No noise, no problems, just great sound. They sound Amazing. Out of all the different pairs of L100 I’ve used over the years, this original in-line version sounds the best to me.Cosmetically, the cabinets show wear consistent with what you’d expect from a 55-year-old pair of vintage loudspeakers. A few scratches here and there that I will detail before shipment to the new owner. There are no major dents and dings, cracks or missing pieces! Both the cabinets and frames show very well as you can see in the images. Overall, these speakers were very well kept with no major damage or other issues. The original all wood frame grills with seal brown cloth coverings are all original. I have used both 16 Ga and 18 Ga speaker wire that work well with the original speaker binding posts. Therefore, this pair of L100 is plug and play, and ready for playing your favorite music. In General, what follows are the shipping parameters! Please Note:This following shipping timetable is a guideline and not set in stone. Extenuating circumstance from the shipper or from my personal life can sometimes delay shipment. Things like delays due to Covid-19 which impacts staff shortages and supply chains, multiple buys on this platform in a short amount of time for example, 10 items sold in a 7-day period, or the illness of a child or my own illness or a fire or flood or an earthquake. I understand that most of the latter types of these occurrences are rare. But, even Huge insurance companies allow for Force Majeure (look it up). And, please understand that I am only one person and if you want the rare vintage item you bought to arrive in the same condition it left me, it will take time to pack it and ship it right! And, if something happens like an extenuating circumstance, it will take a little more time to ship! Thank you for your understanding! So, in general, if bought and paid for Monday through Thursday, I will ship out within 72 hours (business days, not Weekends). If bought Friday, Saturday or Sunday I will ship out no later than the following Wednesday! I don't quickly or sloppily pack and ship. I agonize over picking the proper packing materials and proper boxes which I buy for the item AFTER the item is sold. I have dozens of vintage audio items available for sale and I DO NOT HAVE THEM PACKED AND READY FOR SHIPMENT BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD, I DON'T DO IT LIKE THAT! I AM NOT AMAZON OR A LARGE ONLINE COMPANY, I AM A SOLE PROPRIETOR OF A LARGE COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AUDIO ITEMS THAT MY FAMILY COLLECTED OVER 60 YEARS. When you receive your turntable in the same condition as it left me, you will thank me! Please, look at my feedback regarding Packing and Shipping! Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable If you buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently.Ships from San Marcos, CA. Packed safely and securely. I ALWAYS use the (RSS) Reverb Safe Shipping option when shipping an item I have sold in order to protect both you and me, I typically lose money on shipping because of this because RSS costs money. The more rare or valuable an item is, the more it costs to insure! In addition, I don't ship quickly or cheaply. Why sloppily throw a vintage receiver in Excellent condition into a box or poorly wrap it so it gets damaged in transit? I DO NOT DO THAT! I am meticulous with my packaging and I agonize over choosing the proper box that is ideal for each unit. Boxes, especially ones that are the correct dimensions for the item at hand are not always easy to come by. I use high quality double walled electronics boxes especially made for shipping vintage items of this type and if one box in the proper size is unavailable, I use TWO single walled corrugated cardboard boxes, putting one box with the unit in it INSIDE another larger box with even more packing material to fully protect the unit and that especially can be costly. So, the Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable if you bundle and buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently! Thanks ; )

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Against your database anchor, this asking price is slightly under the median at US$2,549 versus a US$2,572 median, and just below the US$2,561 25th percentile. That makes it a good buy rather than a bargain-bin steal—priced a touch favorably, but still squarely in the normal trading band for recent comparables.

What makes it worthwhile is the speaker’s reputation: the L100 Century is a classic, lively JBL with the kind of punchy, room-filling presentation that still has a strong following. The excellent condition plus included cables & accessories adds real value, and for a clean set that needs no immediate chasing-down of extras, this is the sort of listing that makes sense for someone who wants the look and sound without waiting for a rarer mint example.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About JBL

JBL traces its roots to 1946, when pioneering audio engineer James Bullough Lansing founded the company in Los Angeles, California, initially as James B. Lansing Sound, Incorporated. A veteran of loudspeaker design from earlier ventures like the Lansing Manufacturing Company and collaborations on Hollywood's first practical cinema systems, Lansing infused JBL with his relentless pursuit of acoustic clarity and fidelity. Though he passed away in 1949 amid financial strains, the brand endured under new leadership, accelerating in 1969 with acquisition by Harman International—now under Samsung—fueling global expansion and innovation.

JBL excels across professional and consumer audio realms, renowned for its loudspeakers that dominate studios, touring rigs, cinemas, and home setups. Iconic models like the D-130 woofer, Paragon stereophonic system, and L-100 Century defined eras of high-output sound, while modern lines span portable Bluetooth speakers, wireless headphones, soundbars, and pro monitors. The brand prioritizes robust transducers, advanced horns, and diamond-surround tech over niche components like turntables, DACs, or cables.

Positioned as a mid-tier powerhouse with pro-grade heritage, JBL commands respect among discerning buyers for delivering punchy, reliable performance at accessible prices, bridging live-event energy and home listening without high-end esoterica. Its vintage icons draw collectors, yet contemporary ubiquity in arenas and everyday gear cements market dominance for those valuing scale and excitement over boutique refinement.
