Seller's Description

Welling Century 8-F Floor Speakers – V.G.C., 150 watts, hardly used! These speakers have been in storage for around 20 years and have had minimal use (only a few hours total) since new. They were purchased as part of a system but were never properly set up or regularly used.As a result, they remain in very good condition, with any minor marks likely only from being moved during house relocations—not from actual use.A great opportunity to pick up a quality set of floor-standing speakers that are barely run in.Inspection welcome - we are situated in Keilor, Victoria.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At USD142, this is a screaming bargain for early-2000s Welling Century 8-F floorstanders with minimal use—well below the typical used market range of USD400-584 based on recent comparable listings, where the median sits at USD520. These aren't high-end exotica, but at this price, you're getting solid 150W speakers that punch above their weight if truly low-hours.

Before biting, verify the drivers for surround degradation or foam rot, common in 20+ year-old budget floors, and test for cabinet resonances or port buzz—play some bass-heavy tracks loud. Insist on original grilles and spikes if mentioned, as replacements add up quick.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About HRS

Harmonic Resolution Systems (HRS) traces its origins to 1999, when engineer Michael Latvis founded the company in the United States. Drawing on over 40 years of expertise in vibration and resonance isolation for military and aviation applications—bolstered by six patents—Latvis channeled his passion for music into audio solutions. This fusion of professional precision and audiophile enthusiasm established HRS as a pioneer in addressing mechanical disturbances that degrade sound reproduction.

HRS specializes in high-end vibration isolation products, including modular audio racks, component platforms, bases, and resonance control accessories. Unlike brands focused on amplifiers, speakers, or source components, HRS targets the foundational infrastructure: adaptive systems that minimize panel resonance, dissipate subsurface vibrations, and employ proprietary materials and custom compounds. All products are crafted in the US by skilled engineers and technicians, emphasizing flexibility and superior finishes for optimal system performance.

Positioned firmly in the extreme high-end market, HRS commands respect among discerning audiophiles for delivering transformative noise reduction that unlocks the full potential of elite audio and video setups. Its reputation for unparalleled isolation and modular design cements it as the world's leading manufacturer in this niche, favored by experts seeking cost-effective yet uncompromising enhancements to reference-grade systems.
