Seller's Description

Selling my Sennheiser HD250 Linear II in pretty good condition considering its age. This is a respected vintage closed-back reference headphone known for its clear, honest mids and detailed presentation. The midrange on these is genuinely special and still gives me goosebumps when listening to well-recorded material. For a closed-back design, the stereo imaging is surprisingly good, with clear separation and a well-defined soundstage that doesn’t feel boxed in like many other closed phones. They are also extremely lightweight and very comfortable to wear for long listening sessions without fatigue.Fully functional and sounding great. The cable was recently replaced with a brand new original Sennheiser cable, and the ear pads were changed this week with proper compatible pads that fit securely and seal well.Cosmetic wear is minimal for a headphone of this era. A great piece for collectors, studio enthusiasts, or anyone curious about classic Sennheiser monitoring sound.I simply need some new equipment to invest in, and this one has become surplus to my needs.Feel free to message for more details or photos.

About Sennheiser

Founded in June 1945 by Dr. Fritz Sennheiser in a farmhouse near Hanover, Germany, Sennheiser began as Laboratorium Wennebostel, producing voltmeters and early microphones amid post-World War II reconstruction. Seven engineers from the University of Hannover joined the founder, quickly pivoting to broadcast microphones like the DM 2 in 1946 and the groundbreaking MD 82 shotgun mic in 1956. Renamed Sennheiser electronic in 1958, the family-owned company passed to second- and third-generation leadership, maintaining its innovative spirit over eight decades.

Sennheiser excels in professional and consumer audio, renowned for microphones, wireless systems, and headphones that set industry standards. Pioneers of the first open-back headphones (HD 414 in 1968) and enduring studio icons like the MD 421 and MD 441, they also produce high-end headphones, earbuds, soundbars, and conferencing solutions. While strong in pro audio like mixers and geophysical gear, their consumer focus centers on headphones and wireless tech rather than amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, or cables.

Sennheiser commands a premium position in the hi-fi market, blending mid-tier accessibility with high-end excellence for discerning buyers and professionals. Trusted for reliability and sonic precision, it appeals to audiophiles seeking reference-grade headphones without boutique obscurity, backed by a heritage of technological firsts that sustains its global leadership.
