Good condition helps here, but at £12,300 this sits well above the £8,334 75th percentile and looks ambitious rather than fair for the used market. Unless there’s a standout reason — recent service, exceptional provenance, or a meaningful package of extras — it reads as a premium ask.
That said, it’s a serious power amp with the kind of scale, grip, and effortless dynamics that keep Canary Audio gear on the radar for big, revealing systems. If the sale includes original packaging, remote, or documentation, and the unit has been properly maintained, it can still make sense for someone specifically chasing this sound; just expect to negotiate hard.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Canary Audio is a U.S.-based hi-fi brand founded in 1996, with its origins in California and a clear identity as a specialist in tube electronics. The company describes itself as an American manufacturer of high-end audio electronics and accessories, and third-party coverage places its early emphasis on 300B-based amplifier design from the start.
Its core product focus is amplifiers and preamplifiers, especially tube designs, including integrated amps, power amps, and reference preamps. The brand’s own materials emphasize handcrafted U.S. production, and its lineup is centered on electronics rather than speakers, turntables, headphones, or digital source components.
In the market, Canary Audio sits firmly in the high-end, niche boutique category. It is best known among tube-amp enthusiasts and buyers seeking traditional valve sound, especially 300B and other classic tube topologies, rather than broad mainstream appeal. Its reputation is strongest with collectors and serious audiophiles who value American-made, hand-built amplification.
