Offered is „W5 Lautsprecher SE - Vorführer - 25%“ by Boenicke Audio as exhibit from the category „Compact Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 1970142920 ends on 11.10.2026 at 06:46 o'clock.
Boenicke’s W5 SE is a genuinely notable compact speaker: small enough to fit real rooms, but known for unusually coherent, spacious, high-end sound when set up well. At €6,975, this sits well above the €3,422 median and even above the €7,165 75th percentile only by a hair below it, so it reads as ambitious rather than a bargain on your recent comp set.
The upside is that this is a Vorführer piece, so the condition should typically be cleaner than a random private used pair, and that can matter with a revealing design like this. If you want the Boenicke presentation—natural tone, strong imaging, and that “disappears in the room” trick—the premium can make sense, but I’d want confirmation of the stand/mounting situation, finish condition, and any included accessories before treating it as a clean buy.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Boenicke Audio traces its origins to the late 1990s in Basel, Switzerland, where visionary craftsman and audio engineer Sven Boenicke launched the company around 1998-1999. From a modest workshop near the Rhine River, Boenicke transformed his passion for sound reproduction into a boutique operation, blending artisanal woodworking with innovative engineering. His background as an audio professional fueled a hands-on approach, emphasizing solid wood enclosures and custom driver designs that prioritize musicality over mass production.
The brand specializes in high-end loudspeakers, crafting floorstanding towers, standmounts, and related accessories like cables from its Swiss headquarters. Models such as the W8 and W22 showcase three- and four-way designs with premium drivers—including dome tweeters, aluminum and paper cones—delivering frequency responses from 25Hz to 25kHz. While not venturing into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or headphones, Boenicke's focus remains laser-sharp on speakers that integrate seamlessly into complete systems.
Positioned as a niche boutique in the ultra-high-end market, Boenicke Audio earns acclaim as the "Rolex of loudspeakers" for its exquisite aesthetics, organic sound, and limited production runs. Discerning audiophiles seek its products for their boundary-pushing transparency and emotional engagement, often showcased at events like High-End Munich, cementing its status among elite, connoisseur-grade brands.
