Whether your tastes run to the delicate strains of the violin or the wail of the electric guitar, the Rogue Stereo 100 power amplifier will thrill you with its precision, musicality, and impact. And with 100 watts of pure tube power, you can be sure that your amplifier won’t run out of steam before the musicians do. The heart of the Stereo 100 consists of four matched KT120 output tubes operating in push-pull configuration. A massive fully regulated power supply ensures that low frequency information will not go unheard, and that the power and attack of transient musical passages will be recreated in full. And with a simple flip of a switch, audiophiles can choose between “pure triode” and “ultra-linear” operation to suit their tastes and power requirements. The transparency and power of the Stereo 100 is testimony to a design that truly transcends that of the competition.

While the build quality is readily evidenced in the exquisitely sculpted appearance of the Stereo 100, the beauty of this amplifier is more than just skin deep. From the Mundorf EVO Oil coupling capacitors to the custom wound output transformers, the audio signal travels through only the finest components available. With this winning combination of leading edge circuit topology, great components, and a stunning appearance, you can be certain that you are investing in an amplifier design that only Rogue Audio can deliver.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

The timing matters if this is one of Rogue’s older 100-watt tube monoblocks: a clean, current-gen piece still has real appeal, but at US$4,000 the price is only straightforwardly good if you can confirm it’s the exact model, in strong condition, and not missing anything important. Without solid comps in hand, I’d treat US$4,000 as fair-to-ambitious rather than an obvious steal; if this is the more recent generation and fully sorted, it can still be worth that money, but it is not the kind of number that screams bargain.

The upside is that Rogue amps are generally respected for giving tube drive with good grip and scale, so the appeal is the musicality-to-control balance rather than boutique fussiness. A well-kept example with known history, original packaging, and a healthy set of tubes is the sort of buy that rewards long listening sessions. I’d only get cautious here if the seller can’t document service history, tube hours, or the exact variant, since those details matter more than usual at this price.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Rogue Audio

Rogue Audio was founded in 1996 by Mark O'Brien and two colleagues from Bell Laboratories, establishing itself as a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of high-quality audio electronics. The company, headquartered in Brodheadsville in the Pocono region, has built its reputation on American craftsmanship, with every product hand-built at its own facility. O'Brien, who holds a degree in physics from Cal Poly and previously worked designing laser systems, brought both technical expertise and a commitment to sonic excellence to the venture. The company's founding philosophy centered on creating audio components that the designers themselves would want to own.

Rogue Audio specializes in tube, solid-state, and hybrid audio components across a focused product range that includes integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, preamplifiers, phono stages, and headphone amplifiers. The brand is particularly known for its vacuum-tube-based designs, which form the core of its engineering identity. The current lineup comprises approximately 16 to 17 models, each engineered with meticulous attention to circuit topology and layout. Notable products include the Cronus integrated amplifier series, which has become a reference point in the mid-to-high-end market.

Rogue Audio occupies a distinctive position as a boutique, high-end manufacturer that prioritizes value and accessibility without compromising sonic performance or build quality. The brand appeals to discerning audiophiles who appreciate American-made tube electronics and sensible pricing relative to performance. Its commitment to local sourcing and manufacturing, combined with a design philosophy rooted in personal conviction rather than market trends, has earned respect among audio enthusiasts and reviewers. Rogue represents the intersection of engineering rigor, tube-amplifier tradition, and practical American manufacturing.
