McIntosh’s D150 has the usual appeal: a compact, highly regarded digital preamp/DAC with a strong reputation for clean, unfussy sound and system-building flexibility. At €1,490, this sits below the €1,602 median and just above the €1,473 25th percentile, so it reads as good value rather than a steal; it is comfortably on the buyer-friendly side of the market without being a deep-bargain outlier.
For a clean used piece in good condition, that’s a sensible entry point if you want McIntosh build quality and a versatile hub for a modern digital setup. The upside is straightforward: if it’s complete, well cared for, and comes from a careful owner, you’re paying a fair price for a respected component that tends to hold appeal. I’d want to confirm remote, packaging, and all inputs/outputs are working properly, but nothing here screams caution.
