At A$450, this is a touch above the recent used median of A$387, and also above the A$411 75th percentile, so it reads as ambitious rather than a bargain. It is not wildly out of line, but it is priced at the top end of the current comparable set, so I’d want something extra to justify it.
That said, this is a well-regarded integrated amp with the sort of solid, straightforward Yamaha sound many buyers want: plenty of grip, good drive for normal speakers, and a reputation for reliability. In excellent condition, it’s a sensible buy if it has the original remote, manual, and no sign of repair history; if those extras are missing, I’d push harder on price.
