Offered is „AYAZY MK2“ by Ideon Audio as new device from the category „D/A Converter“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 20333496 ends on 14.12.2026 at 06:41 o'clock.
At €1,800, this sits just under the €1,853 median of your recent used comps and above the €1,543 25th percentile, so it reads as a fair-to-slightly-strong buy rather than a bargain. It is not priced low enough to call a steal, but it is comfortably in the normal market band and not ambitious.
That makes it attractive if the unit is clean and fully working, because this is a well-regarded piece of digital kit and buyers usually pay for its strong DAC/streaming performance and refinement. If the listing includes the original box, remote, and PSU/cables, that adds real value; at this price, I’d mainly want reassurance on condition, firmware stability, and whether any accessories are missing.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Ideon Audio: Brand Overview
Ideon Audio is a boutique Greek manufacturer founded in 1990 by Vassilis Tounas and George Ligerakis, establishing itself as a specialist in high-performance digital audio equipment. Based in Athens, the company emerged from a founding team of engineers with deep expertise in digital audio circuit design and power supply innovation, combined with a shared passion for extracting maximum fidelity from recorded music. This heritage of technical precision and audiophile sensibility has defined the brand's trajectory for over three decades.
The company's product portfolio centers on digital audio components, with particular distinction in digital-to-analog converters. Ideon's lineup includes the Absolute DAC—positioned as a flagship offering in the high-end market—alongside the Eos Series, Ayazi DAC mk2, and the 3R Master Time Black Star. These products reflect the brand's singular focus: revealing the music embedded within digital data through extended frequency response, dynamic accuracy, and sonic clarity. Rather than pursuing breadth across multiple categories, Ideon has maintained disciplined specialization in premium digital playback.
Ideon occupies the upper echelon of the high-end audio market, competing among the world's most accomplished digital audio manufacturers. The Absolute DAC has earned particular recognition as one of the industry's premier implementations, garnering global critical acclaim. This positioning reflects Ideon's commitment to extreme performance rather than mass-market accessibility—a niche boutique approach that appeals to discerning audiophiles willing to invest substantially for demonstrable sonic excellence.
