Seller's Description

High end 15" Inch subwoofer, in excellent working condition.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

A$2,500 is ambitious for this sub unless it includes something unusually strong like mint cosmetics, full boxes, or verified recent servicing.

The Servo 15 is a serious old-school heavyweight: sealed, servo-controlled, and still respected for deep, tight bass rather than one-note boom. It can absolutely be a worthwhile buy if you want a reference-grade 15-inch sub and can accommodate the size and weight, but this is an age-sensitive piece, so the big check is the amp, servo control, and driver health. At A$2,500, I’d only lean in if the seller can show clean operation, no noise or distortion, and ideally original accessories or documented maintenance.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Paradigm

Paradigm Electronics was founded in 1982 in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada, by Scott Bagby, a pioneering loudspeaker designer, and Jerry VanderMarel, a consumer electronics veteran. With input from Jerry's brother Bill, they revolutionized speaker design by integrating scientific acoustics research from the National Research Council of Canada and rigorous listening tests. From humble beginnings, Paradigm rapidly expanded, opening its Paradigm Advanced Research Center in 1993 and earning early accolades like the 1990 Best Price/Value Award, cementing its innovative heritage.

The brand focuses primarily on high-performance loudspeakers, including iconic models like the Atom and Monitor series, alongside premium lines such as Signature. Paradigm controls its entire production process in a massive 225,000-square-foot facility outside Toronto, manufacturing drivers, cabinets, and components in-house for unmatched precision. While best known for freestanding and architectural speakers, it has ventured into electronics through sister brands like Anthem, emphasizing value-driven hi-fi without straying into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables.

Paradigm holds a strong mid-to-high-end position in the global market, renowned for delivering audiophile-grade sound at accessible prices. A bestseller across six continents, it commands significant shares in freestanding (No. 6) and architectural speakers among top integrators. Repurchased by founder Scott Bagby in 2019, Paradigm upholds its commitment to the "Paradigm Sound"—transparent, dynamic audio that punches above its weight, appealing to discerning buyers seeking Canadian craftsmanship over boutique exclusivity.
