Shindo’s floorstanders sit in the “specialist, hard-to-find, and usually pricey” tier, and at €49,500 this one is clearly above the current used market anchor: it’s well over the €42,028 75th percentile, so I’d call it ambitious rather than a bargain. That said, for a genuinely sought-after Shindo piece, the premium isn’t outrageous if the provenance and presentation are excellent.
The upside here is the usual Shindo appeal: a rich, naturally scaled presentation with big tonal color, effortless dynamics, and that lifelike midrange fans chase. If the cabinets, drivers, and finish are truly good, and you’re getting a clean, well-kept example, that matters a lot on a high-end speaker this rare. I’d just want strong confirmation on originality, service history, and any shipping/packaging details before paying top money.
