Seller's Description

Dynaudio Confidence C1 Platinum Rosewood Bookshelf Loudspeakers Original owner purchased from tivoli back in 2018. Comes with Dynaudio Stand 6 in silver with C1 adapter plate which allows the speaker to be secured to the stand. (Original stand6 plates will also be included.) I can also include the velcro sealed bags containing steel shot for weighing down the speaker stands. I have all the included packaging for the C1 speakers allowing it to be shipped safety but not for the stands so at this point pick up only, theres only a slight blemish on one of corners otherwise the condition is As New

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

A$6,000 is a fair-to-strong ask for a clean C1, and it’s in the zone I’d expect for a well-kept pair rather than a bargain-bin score. New pricing for the model sat around A$9,300–A$10,700 in today’s money after converting the original US launch price, so a used ask at A$6,000 lands at a sensible discount rather than looking aggressive.

That’s a good buy if you want a compact monitor with genuinely high-end pedigree: the C1 is a discontinued Confidence-series speaker with the Esotar tweeter, 85 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm load, and the sort of resolution, imaging, and tonal evenness that made it a standout in its class. If the pair is original, cosmetically tidy, and includes grilles/boxes/stands if applicable, that adds real value; with these, good condition and complete accessories matter more than chasing an ultra-low number.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Dynaudio

Dynaudio is a Danish loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1977 in Skanderborg by acoustic engineers Wilfried Ehrenholz and Mark Thorup, alongside co-founder Ivan Scarning Geard. The company emerged from a conviction that off-the-shelf speakers of the era failed to reproduce music authentically. From its inception, Dynaudio has maintained vertical integration, designing and manufacturing its own drivers rather than sourcing components externally—a practice that remains central to the brand's identity and quality control.

The company specializes exclusively in loudspeakers and speaker systems across two primary markets: high-fidelity consumer audio and professional studio monitoring. Dynaudio's consumer division produces reference-grade speakers for discerning listeners, while its professional subsidiary, Dynaudio Acoustics, manufactures studio monitors installed in more than ten thousand recording studios worldwide. The brand has earned particular distinction as a reference monitor choice for BBC Radio & Music, underscoring its credibility in professional environments.

Dynaudio occupies the high-end segment of the audio market, positioning itself among premium manufacturers rather than mass-market producers. The brand's reputation rests on uncompromising engineering philosophy—prioritizing authentic driver design over superficial aesthetics—and consistent innovation in loudspeaker technology. Since its acquisition by Chinese electronics company Goertek in 2014, Dynaudio has maintained its Danish heritage and manufacturing practices while expanding its global reach. For knowledgeable buyers, Dynaudio represents a convergence of Scandinavian design sensibility, technical rigor, and professional-grade performance in the consumer hi-fi space.
