Wilson Audio Sasha MK1 Floorstanding Loudspeakers Purchased from TivoliHiFi in 2008. Last Wilson to be designed by Dave Wilson with the famous focal inverted dome tweeter. Some audiophiles actually prefer this over the new Wilson convergent synergy soft dome tweeter. I love these speakers and haven't hear their level of detail, transparency, power and timing from any other loudspeaker. These were going to be my end game speakers but I don't have a room large enough to even approach getting the best out of them.These speakers need no introduction. At A$21,000, this sits a bit above the clearest used benchmarks I can find for Sasha-era Wilsons in Australia: one local Sasha listing was A$15,500 in excellent condition, while certified used Wilson stock has shown A$14,000–A$16,000 on some models. Against the much newer Sasha DAW’s new-price level of roughly A$49,995, the ask still looks broadly sensible for a high-end Wilson, but for a MK1 it reads fair-to-ambitious rather than a bargain.
The appeal is the classic Wilson mix of scale, speed, tonal precision, and very convincing imaging; these are the kind of speakers that can make a room feel properly “sorted” when partnered well. If the pair is clean, complete, and from careful ownership, the upside is real because Sasha variants hold strong enthusiast interest and are still very much reference-level performers. At this price, I’d want confirmation of driver condition, original crates, and any service history, since age and transport damage matter more than cosmetic perfection on speakers of this size and weight.
