Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Is €170 a bargain for a used Apple HomePod 2 in excellent condition? Yes, this is a strong deal that sits well below the market floor. Based on your own database of five recent EUR listings, the median asking price is €183, with the 25th percentile at €174. Since €170 is below even that 25th percentile mark, you are effectively paying less than the cheapest comparable asking price currently on the market, making this an exceptional value opportunity.

The HomePod 2 earns this hype because it delivers surprisingly full, room-filling sound with excellent spatial audio support via Dolby Atmos, all while integrating seamlessly into the Apple ecosystem for smart home control. In excellent condition, this unit likely retains its original acoustic clarity and lacks the dust or wear that often dampens speaker performance. With no missing accessories or condition red flags to worry about at this price, you are buying a well-regarded speaker at a genuine bargain, not navigating a risky listing.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Apple

Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.

In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.

Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
