This is a buyer’s market for the Focal Electra 1027BE right now. At A$3,299, the asking price sits a bit above the fair used zone but still looks reasonable for a well-kept pair; comparable sales suggest roughly A$2,500 to A$3,900 depending on finish, condition, and whether boxes are included. I’d call this fair-to-slightly-ambitious rather than a bargain, but not out of line if the speakers are genuinely clean and fully working.
The 1027BE is popular for good reason: lively, detailed treble, strong midrange clarity, and real scale from a relatively slim floorstander. The Beryllium tweeter and Focal’s fast, dynamic voicing make these especially rewarding with good electronics and careful room placement. Biggest upside here is if the pair has been well cared for and has a clean history. Since these are older speakers, I’d still confirm driver condition, cabinet wear, and that both grilles and spikes are present.
