Black Atacama SE24 speaker stands. Sand filled so quite heavy. Good condition, a couple of slight marks. Includes M6 spikes. Top plate 170mm by 195mm. Buyer collects Fareham PO14.
This is a strong deal: at £25, it sits below the £28 25th percentile from your recent GBP comps, versus a £74 median and £162 75th percentile. For a well-known Atacama stand, that puts it firmly in bargain territory rather than merely “good value.”
The SE24 is a respected, old-school single-pillar stand: rigid, mass-loadable, and generally easy to live with if you want stable support and a bit of extra damping from sand or shot. In good condition, the main upside is simple—solid engineering for very little money. I’d just confirm the spikes and any filler capability are included, since those small bits matter more at this price than cosmetic perfection.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Atacama Audio traces its origins to 1969 in the UK, initially operating as Sambell Engineering Ltd with a focus on aerospace engineering alongside firms like Rolls Royce. The company pivoted to hi-fi in 1987, leveraging expertise in aluminium to pioneer innovative legs and feet for equipment racks. Evolving from tempered glass shelves to superior oak and bamboo with curved designs and spiked isolation, Atacama refined its approach through decades of hands-on development.
The brand specializes in hi-fi furniture and supports, including award-winning speaker stands, modular racks, and AV platforms that prioritize both aesthetics and acoustic performance. Drawing on vibration control principles, these products enhance system clarity without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or source components like turntables and DACs.
Positioned as a mid-tier leader in the niche of hi-fi furniture, Atacama enjoys strong UK recognition for over 30 years of reliable, customizable solutions favored by enthusiasts seeking optimal setups. Its in-house design and manufacturing underscore a commitment to practical excellence over high-end exotica.
