Hierbij bied ik mijn prachtige piega premium surround / home cinema set aan. Het gaat om een zeer complete en hoogwaardige luidsprekerset van het zwitserse merk piega, bekend om zijn strakke aluminium
At €2,500, this is above the usual used market for the model: versus a €1,709 median and €2,132 75th percentile, it’s priced a bit ambitiously, though not wildly off base. The obvious alternative at this money is waiting for a cleaner or better-documented pair to come up closer to the median.
What keeps it interesting is that Piega’s PS 1 is the kind of speaker people buy for its refined, room-filling presentation and strong imaging rather than sheer brute force, so a good set can still justify patience. If the cosmetics are genuinely clean and the drivers, grills, and stands/mounting bits are all complete, the upside is a well-regarded home-cinema speaker that should age well sonically. At this price, I’d want enough condition detail to confirm it’s not hiding wear or missing parts.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
PIEGA: Swiss Precision in High-End Loudspeakers
Founded in 1986 by loudspeaker pioneer Kurt Scheuch and salesman Leo Greiner, PIEGA emerged from modest beginnings in a garage before establishing itself as a serious player in premium audio engineering. Based in Horgen on Lake Zurich, the company has spent over three decades perfecting its craft, with the name itself derived from the Italian word "piegare"—to fold—reflecting the meticulous ribbon-folding process central to its manufacturing heritage. This Swiss foundation has become synonymous with uncompromising build quality and timeless design.
PIEGA specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, positioning itself as a pure-play speaker manufacturer rather than a diversified audio brand. The company's signature innovation is its proprietary ribbon technology, which serves as both midrange driver and tweeter in a coaxial configuration found nowhere else in the industry. These ribbons are handcrafted in-house using wafer-thin aluminum foil, representing the technical cornerstone that distinguishes PIEGA's sonic character and manufacturing philosophy.
The brand occupies the ultra-premium segment of the high-end market, with flagship models commanding prices exceeding 195,000 Swiss francs. PIEGA appeals to discerning audiophiles and collectors who prioritize Swiss engineering excellence, proprietary driver technology, and meticulous craftsmanship over mass-market accessibility. Its reputation rests on a successful balance between honoring traditional values and embracing continuous innovation—a positioning that has sustained its prestige across four decades of operation.
