Is this one priced like a serious buy, or are you paying top-dollar convenience? At A$9,990, it sits well above the comparable-used median of A$7,489 and also above the 75th percentile at A$7,621, so this is clearly ambitious rather than a bargain. That said, with a premium turntable like this, the question is whether the condition, setup, and included extras justify the premium.
The payoff here is that Bauer tables are respected for refined engineering, excellent speed stability, and the kind of quiet, composed presentation that rewards a good cartridge and phono stage. If this example is genuinely clean, properly serviced, and comes with the right arm, PSU, dust cover, or other original bits, it could still make sense for a committed buyer. At this price, though, I’d want clear evidence of provenance and upkeep before jumping.
