A fair ask. At A$16,900, this sits a touch under the commonly seen new Australian retail for the 802 Diamond at about A$19,000 a pair, and not far from the A$21,000 pre-loved tag seen from Australian dealers, so it reads as sensible rather than cheap.
That’s still a strong buy if the speakers are clean and complete, because the 802 Diamond is one of B&W’s standout 800-series floorstanders: diamond tweeter, Kevlar FST midrange, and serious bass authority with the scale and refinement the model is known for. For a buyer, the upside is getting flagship-level performance at a meaningful discount from new; at this price, I’d mainly want confirmation of driver health, cabinet condition, and original grilles/spikes.
