When I first acquired this unit the reading mechanism was unable to load and play any CD, but after a new belt was installed it’s as good as new. While inside the unit I also gave it a general cleaning, as well as polished the laser eye. Now the unit is able to properly play and track any disc that’s loaded into it, while showing no incongruities in sound quality that I can hear. All buttons along the face are appropriately responsive to their designated actions, mechanics of the disc tray open and close smoothly, and the display screen shines brightly when the unit is on and running.Player is in great shape cosmetically, showing minimal signs of age-related wear around the exterior. No notable points of damage inflicted along any edge or face of units metal bonnet or front display.
