New stock on similar Clearaudio tables sits far higher, and used pricing for an Innovation Compact at A$7,325 is in the reasonable zone rather than being a stretch, especially if the arm, cart, and dust cover are all included and in clean shape.
What makes it worthwhile is the usual Clearaudio strength: superb speed stability, low noise, and a very “sorted” presentation that lets the cartridge do its job without drama. The Innovation Compact is a serious, well-engineered deck, so if the bearing, motor, and suspension/plinth surfaces are all healthy, you’re buying into a platform that should scale nicely with better cartridges. I’d just confirm exactly what’s included and whether service history is known, but on price and condition this reads as a genuine buying opportunity.
