This is a fair ask, a touch above the median but still within the normal used range for this model. With a median of €66 and a 75th percentile of €91, €110 is clearly ambitious rather than a bargain, but it is not wildly out of line if the speaker is clean and fully working.
The appeal here is straightforward: this is a compact center speaker from a well-known home-theater line, and Bose center channels are bought for easy placement, clear dialogue, and a coherent match with existing Bose systems. If it’s in tidy cosmetic shape and comes with nothing missing, it can still make sense for someone specifically trying to complete a Bose setup; just don’t pay premium money for an unknown-condition example unless you can verify the drivers, grille, and terminal plate are all sound.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
