Das Teac A-450 ist ein hochwertiges Stereo-Kassettendeck, das von 1973 bis 1976 von der japanischen Firma Teac Corporation hergestellt wurde. Es ist ein Toploader-Deck, d.h. die Kassette wird von oben eingelegt. Das A-450 ist in Silber mit Holzgehäuse erhältlich und hat einen Neupreis von ca. 89.800 Yen (Japan, 1975) bzw. 1.350 DM.

€585 is above the usual used range for this model, so I’d call it ambitious rather than fair. Recent market references show the A-450 landing around €280–€350 at auction estimate, with another sold example at €350, while cleaner dealer/restoration listings can climb higher; at €585, this needs to be notably serviced, unusually complete, or cosmetically excellent to justify the ask.
That said, this is a respected early-’70s TEAC deck with the sort of build and presentation collectors like: classic silver face, wood side panels, and a reputation for solid transport engineering and good playback when properly sorted. If it’s genuinely original, fully working, and recently serviced, there is real upside for a vintage-TEAC buyer—but at this price, I’d want proof of belt, pinch roller, head, and speed performance before treating it as a buy.
