Denafrips Pontus II 12th Anniversary Edition Digital Analog Converter (DAC) Denafrips Pontus II 12th edition R2R DAC. In very good condition. These are a highly regarded DAC. The LED light for the phase control is not as bright as the others, but is still visable to turn on and off (see photo) and does not effect operation. It was like this when I purchased it. No longer required as I am ordering a Lumin P1 Mini and will use the onboard DAC. It has a tiny mark on the top panel, which you can see in photo. I have original box and can post at buyers expense. At A$1,750, this is above the A$1,319 median and well past the A$1,903 75th percentile only if you ignore the local benchmark; against your comparable AUD listings, it reads as ambitious rather than fair, and it’s not a standout bargain at this ask. The gap to the median is big enough that I’d want something extra—lower hours, stronger provenance, or extras—to justify it.
That said, this is a respected DAC and the Pontus line has a solid reputation for a dense, natural presentation with very good dynamics and weight, especially if you like a slightly more “analog” take on digital. In excellent condition, it’s worth a look for a serious system, but at A$1,750 I’d still treat it as a buy only if the seller can show clean operation, original packaging, and any included remote or accessories.
