The Elektra HD2 7-channel power amplifier is a serious home theater beast, delivering 190W per channel with ultra-low distortion and massive dynamic headroom. At A$2,950, this listing sits just above the 75th percentile (A$2,921) of the recent used market, making it ambitious but not outrageous given the model’s high performance and rarity in the 7-channel configuration.
This amplifier is well-regarded for its clean, vibrant top-end and ability to transform receiver-driven sound into crisp, detailed audio. Its 25kg build, 111 dB S/N ratio, and 3Hz–250 kHz frequency response make it a timeless upgrade for serious HT setups. With no red flags in the listing and original-owner condition implied, it’s a solid buying opportunity for those seeking a high-wattage, multi-channel powerhouse without waiting for new stock.

Elektra Audio is an obscure hi-fi brand with no verifiable history or products in established audio industry sources. Extensive searches yield no confirmed details on its founding year, country of origin, or notable founder, distinguishing it from better-documented entities like Elektra Records (a 1950 U.S. label founded by Jac Holzman) or Electra Guitars (1970s Japanese imports). Without primary evidence such as official websites, reviews, or manufacturer records, its heritage remains untraceable.
No information confirms Elektra Audio's product focus, whether amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, cables, or other categories. Related names like Electra-Print produce niche audio transformers and custom amps, but lack clear ties to "Elektra Audio" as a consumer hi-fi marque.
Its market reputation and position—high-end, mid-tier, vintage, or boutique—cannot be assessed due to absent credible references. Knowledgeable buyers should approach with caution, as it may be a defunct, regional, or misremembered name rather than a recognized player.
