About This Model
The Behringer AMP800 is a compact 4-channel stereo headphone amplifier designed for studio, rehearsal, and live monitoring applications. It offers two balanced stereo main inputs via ¼" TRS connectors, each with independent Level and Balance controls, and delivers a total of eight headphone outputs (two per channel, on both front and rear panels) via ¼" TRS connectors. A balanced stereo Link Output allows multiple units to be cascaded for larger sessions. Technically, the AMP800 measures well for its class: frequency response extends from 10 Hz to 120 kHz (−3 dB), THD sits at a typical 0.007%, dynamic range reaches 108 dB, and signal-to-noise ratio is better than 95 dB A-weighted — making it a capable and practical solution for distributing a monitor mix to multiple performers simultaneously.

A great opportunity to own a Behringer AMP800 at this price point.

About Behringer

Behringer traces its roots to January 25, 1989, when Uli Behringer founded the company in Willich, Germany. A self-taught electronics enthusiast who built his first synthesizer at age 16, Uli drew inspiration from his father's church organ projects and his own struggles as a pianist and sound engineer. Unable to afford professional studio gear, he began crafting affordable alternatives for himself and friends, rapidly scaling from a home workshop into a full production facility. This DIY heritage underscores Behringer's mission to democratize high-quality audio tools.

The brand excels in a vast array of pro-audio and hi-fi categories, including mixers, compressors, amplifiers, powered speakers, DJ controllers, synthesizers, and signal processors. Early hits like the 1990 MDX8000 Combinator and 1996 EURODESK MX8000 mixer paved the way for expansions into guitar pedals, studio monitors, and boutique recreations of vintage synths. Manufacturing shifted to China in the 1990s, enabling massive scale while maintaining patented innovations.

Behringer occupies the entry-to-mid-tier market, renowned for its "double the features, half the price" ethos that delivers solid performance to hobbyists, live sound pros, and budget-conscious studios. While praised for value and reliability in live and project-studio settings, it faces criticism for build quality shortcuts compared to high-end marques, positioning it as a pragmatic choice for discerning buyers prioritizing accessibility over audiophile prestige.
