Recent asking and sold-style references for the P-3890 cluster more around roughly €850 to €1,400 for clean examples, with a few higher outliers near €1,945 and €2,100 when paired, serviced, or especially complete, so €1,899 sits at the top end unless this unit has standout provenance or fresh service.
The upside is real: it’s a respected late-’90s Onkyo Integra preamp, rare on the used market, with a proper phono stage and a reputation for being smooth, quiet, and very capable with matching vintage power amps. If the condition is truly excellent and it includes the remote, manual, and ideally documented servicing, it’s a serious enthusiast piece—but at this price I’d want those extras to justify it.
