Our Thoughts RADAR AI

€1,000 is well above the recent comparable market here: it sits far past the €615 75th percentile and is more than double the €479 median, so this reads as ambitious rather than fair. Against just four recent EUR comps, it’s not in bargain territory at all; I’d want a very strong justification before paying this.

That said, the center is a genuinely useful part of a Dali home theater stack: it’s designed for clear dialogue, blends well with Dali fronts, and can be a smart upgrade if you’re completing an Opticon setup. At this price, though, I’d only lean in if the condition is excellent and it comes with the grille, packaging, and proof it’s been carefully used; otherwise the upside is mostly in the speaker itself, not the asking price.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Dali

DALI, or Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries, traces its roots to 1983, when Peter Lyngdorf founded the company in Denmark as the in-house speaker brand for his Hi-Fi Klubben retail chain, established three years earlier. Born in the back office of that operation, DALI quickly outgrew its origins, relocating to a dedicated factory in the small town of Nørager in 1986. There, it has since expanded fourfold, embodying Denmark's storied legacy in audio innovation—from the world's first electro-dynamic loudspeaker to a precise sonic balance that tempers robust bass with refined highs.

The brand's focus remains squarely on loudspeakers, offering nearly twenty lines spanning compact bookshelf models, floorstanders, soundbars, subwoofers, Atmos and in-wall systems, center channels, and wireless options, including portable Bluetooth variants. Each speaker is hand-assembled by a single craftsman, computer-calibrated for consistency, and often features DALI's proprietary wood-fiber cone material for a distinctive look and natural tonality. While production of entry-level models occurs at a Danish-managed facility in China, premium lines emerge from Nørager, upholding meticulous acoustic design under the Low Loss philosophy to minimize distortion.

DALI holds a commanding yet understated position as the world's second-largest cabinet speaker manufacturer, distributed in over 70 countries with undeniable audiophile credentials. Renowned for high-end performance like the MegaLine series, it spans accessible price points to premium tiers, blending Scandinavian design, reliability, and expressive dynamics. Though less heralded in North America, its global reputation among discerning buyers underscores versatile, installer-friendly excellence.
