Against the recent GBP comps you gave, this at £9,750 sits well above the 75th percentile of £6,162, so it reads as ambitious rather than merely firm. It’s not in bargain territory by those numbers, and I’d want the rest of the package to be exceptional to justify it.
That said, the EKOS SE is a genuinely respected tonearm: highly refined bearings, excellent tracking, and the sort of low-noise, high-resolution presentation that suits a serious Linn front end. If it’s complete, cosmetically clean, and has known service history, it could still be a worthwhile buy for a committed Linn owner — but at this asking price, provenance and condition need to be very strong.
