Against a new pair, A$29,500 is obviously the cheaper play, but for a used FACT 12 it still reads ambitious rather than a bargain. Comparable used asking prices for the model cluster much lower, with examples around A$23,000–A$24,000 equivalent and some newer Signature listings higher, so A$29,500 sits above the typical used sweet spot unless this pair is especially fresh and complete.
That said, this is a serious speaker: PMC’s ATL-loaded 3-way design is known for deep, controlled bass, excellent timing, and very low coloration, with enough scale to make high-end sources and amplification earn their keep. If the pair is original-owner, immaculate, and includes boxes, spikes, and all trim, the appeal is real; just make sure the drivers, cabinets, and terminals are pristine, because at this level cosmetic or service issues matter.
