Klangcharakteristik
Ausgewogen und klar: Der Sound gilt für diese Preisklasse als sauber aufgeteilt. Stimmen und Instrumente im Mitteltonbereich kommen dank des separaten Mitteltöners ordentlich zur Geltung.
Präzise, aber unaufdringliche Höhen: Quadral war damals bekannt für eine gute Hochtonauflösung, ohne dass es bei höheren Lautstärken unangenehm in den Ohren gellt.
Knackiger, aber kein extrem tiefer Bass: Der Frequenzbereich beginnt zwar laut Datenblatt bei 35 Hz, in der Realität liefern Kompaktboxen dieser Größe aber eher einen präzisen "Kickbass" statt dröhnender Tiefbässe. Sie klingen dynamisch, reißen bei modernem, basslastigem Hip-Hop oder elektronischer Musik aber keine Wände ein.
