Lenco traces its origins to 1946 in Burgdorf, Switzerland, where husband-and-wife team Fritz and Marie Laeng founded the company amid post-war demand for audio innovation. Deriving its name from the Laeng surname, the venture began as an electronics shop that evolved into a factory specializing in record players, earning acclaim for reliable engineering and customer service. By the 1960s, Lenco pioneered hi-fi turntables like the iconic L-75 model, with its robust tonearm becoming a favored component among stereo manufacturers worldwide.
