Nordost's Heimdall RCA Cable offers a construction and design focus rarely seen at it's price point. Based on Nordost’s proprietary Dual Mono-Filament construction, trickle down tech originally from the legendary Valhalla range, Heimdall's low noise output uses air as the dielectric held by a state of the art suspension system.
24 AWG solid-core conductors made from 99.99999% oxygen-free copper, each plated in silver, are insulated with Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP). With capacitance rated at 25.0pF/ft and inductance at just 0.06μH/ft, all protected by 97% overall shield coverage.
Nordost's propietary MoonGlo gold-plated RCA connectors are fitted at both ends.

Is this priced like a bargain, or just a bit too proud? At A$1,200, this sits well above the recent comparable market: the median is A$798, with the upper quartile at A$903, so this is clearly ambitious for a used Heimdall 2 interconnect.
That said, Nordost’s Heimdall 2 is a genuinely respected cable: fast, open, and highly resolving without getting thick or sluggish. If it’s in clean condition, with the right termination and no connector issues, it can be a very good cable to own — just not at this asking price. I’d only move quickly if there are extras or proof of exceptional condition; otherwise, there’s room to negotiate hard.
