It’s a buyer’s market here: A$1,200 is well below the A$1,537 25th percentile and a long way under the A$1,575 median, so this reads as a strong deal rather than a merely fair one. For a Rega P6, that’s an unusually attractive entry point if the deck is complete and operating properly.
The P6 is a genuinely well-regarded mid-tier belt-drive turntable: light, rigid, fast to set up, and very good at timing, speed stability, and extracting detail without sounding fussy. In excellent condition, the upside is strong, especially if it includes the original PSU, dust cover, and a healthy cartridge. At this price, I’d move quickly and just verify bearing smoothness, arm bearings, and that the platter/PSU are all original and working as they should.
