Sonic Art is an Australian hi-fi brand with roots in the 1990s, founded by designer and cable specialist Chris, who later expanded the business from Australia into Southeast Asia. The clearest public record points to the company being established in the late 1990s and built around his long-standing interest in industrial design and audio reproduction. It appears to have begun as a specialist audio outfit rather than a mass-market electronics maker.
The brand is best known for audio cables and associated hi-fi accessories, including interconnects, digital cables, and other signal-path products. Its website also suggests a broader role in high-end audio retail and distribution, particularly through importing and supporting brands such as Origin Live in Australia.
Sonic Art sits in the niche boutique end of the market rather than the mainstream mid-tier. Its reputation seems centered on specialist, enthusiast-grade products and dealer relationships, with a focus on cable design and careful system tuning rather than a wide catalogue of amplifiers, speakers, or source components. It is a small, long-running name that will be better known to committed analog and cable-conscious buyers than to casual consumers.
