Seller's Description

Karan Acoustics KA M2000 Power Amplifier One of the last pairs of Karan KA M2000 Mono blocks made before transitioning to the wonderful Master Series.    These are not the run of the mill, and I wont wax lyrical about them other than to say, they are stunning in every way.   I have them powered by 4 x Goebel Lacorde statements power cords which together create the most luscious, rich yet dynamic sound.   They come with the original shipping crates, documentation and transport covers, happy to ship them in Australia  albeit they do have a hefty weight so wont be cheap.   Can audition for seriou

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

A$40,000 is ambitious for a used KA L; unless this is exceptionally mint with the full dual-box setup and a strong local premium, it looks above where most buyers should be shopping.

That said, it’s a serious preamp: fully balanced, very low-noise, and widely respected for scale, control, and a dark, effortless presentation that suits top-tier systems. If the listing includes original packing, matching power supply, remote, and proof of careful ownership, the value improves a lot. At this level, I’d want clear confirmation on age, service history, and that all umbilicals and accessories are present.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Karan Acoustics

Karan Acoustics traces its roots to Serbia, where founder Milan Karan established the brand in the 1990s after building a reputation for repairing complex electronics, including obsolete medical equipment. Handcrafting components in a small, dedicated facility, the company embodies a boutique tradition of meticulous, made-to-order audio gear that has earned global distribution despite its isolated origins. Since 1999, Hermes Netherlands has handled marketing and support in Benelux and Scandinavia, underscoring Karan's commitment to direct, personal delivery of his designs.

The brand specializes in high-end solid-state amplification and source components, with a focus on power amplifiers, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers, and phono stages. Standouts include dual-mono power amps like the KAS 600, which scales from 600 to 1800 watts, and the Master Collection series offering single- or dual-chassis options for preamps and mono amps. Precision engineering targets transparency and power, often featuring massive, hand-built chassis without venturing into speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables.

Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Karan Acoustics commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its unflinching sonic performance—delivering detail, dynamics, and neutrality that rival the best. Reviewers praise its seamless integration and build quality, with prices like $10,500 for the KA I 180 integrated reflecting its niche as a collector's choice for those seeking reference-level solid-state refinement over mass-market appeal.
