Angeboten wird hier ein Luxman PD-284 Plattenspieler im gebrauchten, aber gepflegten und voll funktionsfähigen Zustand.
Der Plattenspieler ist ein Direkttriebler und arbeitet ausschließlich manuell, d.h. er muss, oder besser gesagt darf, voll umfänglich per Hand bedient werden. Er besitzt jedoch eine „Auto Lift-Up“ - Funktion, die den Tonarm am Plattenende (sanft) anhebt und den Motor abschaltet. Diese Funktion kann bei Bedarf auch deaktiviert werden. Die Drehzahlen sind pitchbar und mittels Stroboskop kontrollierbar und haben einen gleichmäßigen Lauf.
Montiert ist ein dynamisch aufspielender Audio Technica AT-3200XE MC-High-Output-Tonabnehmer, der die Schallplatten einwandfrei abtastet und einen sauberen Klang hat.
Die beiden Motorschalter haben nicht mehr richtig geschaltet und wurden deshalb erneuert.
Nun schaltet sich der Motor wieder einwandfrei ein. Ebenso wurde der Tonarmlift neu geschmiert,
so dass sich der Tonarm wieder schön sanft absenkt und beim Anheben am Plattenende nicht in
die Luft geschleudert wird.
Das Gehäuse hat nur sehr geringe Gebrauchsspuren. Die Haube weist einige kleinere Gebrauchsspuren auf (Wischspuren, kleinere Kratzer), hat aber keine Risse oder Ausbrüche.

€425 for an excellent-condition PD-284 is on the fair-to-strong side, not a steal. Without hard sold-price comps in hand, I’d treat it as a reasonable buy if it’s fully working and complete, but it’s not low enough that you should assume a bargain by default.
