Seller's Description

We have traded in a lovely pair of the iconic B&W 804 Diamond D2 floorstanding speakers in a black gloss piano finish.

There are the usual swirl marks in the finish and one speaker has a small corner dent on the front top right edge which is shown in photo's 6 and 7 but overall we dont feel this would affect the performance and is more of a small cosmetic issue.

The speakers come with jumper cables and grills.

NO boxes or manuals are supplied so these would suit pick up only, NO free shipping applies to these speakers.

The speakers were fully tested upon arrival and a limited 3 mth warranty would apply.

Here is the Guff !!!

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Are you getting a fair shot at a serious 800-series speaker, or paying too much for an unknown-condition pair? At A$5,500, this looks fair to slightly strong for a used 804 Diamond 2 in AUD; that’s right on the mark of the old Australian new-price level for the 804 Diamond and well below typical dealer pricing for the newer 804D4, which helps frame the value here.

The appeal is straightforward: the 804 Diamond line is respected for scale, clarity, and a more refined top end than many towers in its class, so a clean pair can be a very satisfying long-term listen. If the cabinets, drivers, and plinths are tidy and the original boxes/grilles/spikes are included, this is the kind of listing that can make a lot of sense for someone wanting upper-tier B&W sound without paying fresh retail.

About Bowers & Wilkins

Bowers & Wilkins traces its origins to 1966 in Worthing, West Sussex, England, when John Bowers, a passionate audio enthusiast and former electronics shop owner, founded the company with the help of a £10,000 bequest from a satisfied customer, Miss Knight. Bowers, who had honed his speaker-building skills as a hobby while running a radio and TV rental shop with partner Roy Wilkins, launched the venture from the back of that very shop. This modest beginning fueled a relentless pursuit of audio perfection, establishing Bowers & Wilkins as a British icon in high-fidelity sound reproduction.

The brand excels in premium loudspeakers, from flagship studio monitors like the legendary 801 series—adopted by Abbey Road Studios in 1979—to accessible Domestic Monitor lines such as the enduring 600 Series. Its portfolio has expanded to encompass high-end headphones, including the iconic P5 and Zeppelin designs, alongside wireless speakers and formation systems, all emphasizing advanced driver technology, precision cabinetry, and Continuum cones for unparalleled clarity.

Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Bowers & Wilkins commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its engineering excellence, musical accuracy, and heritage of innovation. Far from mid-tier or niche, it rivals the elite, blending cutting-edge research from facilities like Steyning with a reputation for reference-grade performance that defines luxury hi-fi.
