Seller's Description

Sonore UltraRendu and SBooster Linear Power Supply Streamer (Music) Sonore UltraRendu with the matching SBooster Linear Power Supply   Selling the excellent UltraRendu and LPS. This is for you if you value sound quality over displays and other features.  Considered to be better that eversolo A6 master edition with LPS upgrade and of course much better than the Wiim's A pure streamer and Roon endpoint with no DAC / Wifi etc.      The Sbooster is a perfect match to bring out the best is the UltraRendu.  I can include the Curious USB link cable for another $50 if interested.      Firmware Version

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At AUD900, this used Sonore ultraRendu (network renderer, not speakers—likely a listing quirk) feels ambitious next to the entry-level Schiit Modi or iFi Zen streamers you could snag new for half that. Our recent comps pin typical used ultraRendu pricing at a median of AUD532 (25th-75th: AUD503-562), making this a 70% premium—pass unless pristine and loaded with extras.

Buyers, verify the power supply (original 9V linear is key; generic ones tank sonics), check for Ethernet port oxidation or microSD slot issues from heat cycling, and confirm age via serial number (pre-2020 units may need capacitor refresh). Insist on original box, remote, and WiFi antenna for full functionality—walk if any red flags.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Sonore

Sonore emerged in the early 2010s as a boutique innovator in digital audio playback, driven by a singular focus on resolving the challenges of hi-resolution music reproduction. Founded by Ned Mills, a performer-turned-inventor with deep roots in music technology, the brand originated in the United States, prioritizing simplicity and sonic purity over the bloated complexity of mainstream computer audio setups. From its inception, Sonore challenged industry norms by engineering compact, dedicated devices that deliver bit-perfect performance without compromise.

The brand specializes in high-end network audio renderers and streamers, such as the acclaimed microRendu, ultraRendu, and Signature Rendu SE series. These USB and Ethernet endpoints convert digital streams into pristine analog signals, supporting formats up to DSD and beyond. Sonore avoids amplifiers, speakers, or headphones, instead excelling in niche digital transport solutions optimized for external DACs, with meticulous attention to power supplies, clocking, and noise isolation.

Sonore holds a revered position in the audiophile market as a niche high-end specialist, beloved by discerning buyers seeking ultimate transparency in server-based systems. Its products command premium prices yet deliver transformative clarity, earning cult status among Roon users and digital purists. While not a mass-market player, Sonore's unwavering engineering ethos cements its reputation for elevating hi-fi playback to reference levels.
