SUMMER SPECIAL!ONLY ONE ON REVERB WITH ALL THE SERVICS PERFORMED!PLEASE NOTE: I Provide Reverb Safe Shipping (RSS) with everything I sell and ship. And, I pay for this protection out of my own pocket. Sometimes it can cost me in excess of $100 depending on the item being protected. This coverage protects both you, the buyer, and me, the seller, against loss or damage during shipment. And, I never sell ANY of my items "As-Is". All my items are guaranteed to look and function as advertised or I will gladly accept a return. What other sellers provide that kind of service? The answer is: Very few, take a look and see!A Rare and Amazing sounding plug and play McIntosh Power Amplifier!1. A 50 vintage Watts per side into 8 Ohm, McIntosh power amplifier, model MC250.I'm going to get killed on shipping especially to the east coast! The amplifier is over 40 lbs. packaged! So, please, no offers on this beauty! PRICE IS FIRM! This McIntosh looks Excellent, I would even rate it as Near Mint. However, there are a few marks on it that are hard to see, and I don't want to over-grade it, so I have designated it as Excellent! The function is as new and sounds Amazing! If you have a great pair of speakers or not (I have those too) and you are looking to get an Amazing sounding Power Amplifier for Music, or your Home audio system, you will love this MC250! I just had this unit cleaned and serviced inside and out by Mike Zuccaro, Audio Craftsman. He is the best McIntosh Service Technician on the West Coast! I have him work on all my Mac gear! You can look him up on the internet! Mike Z. replaced a number of parts including the main filter caps and power supply caps as well as several transistors resistors! He tested all the other Original capacitors, and they all test strong! This Unit functions like NEW!Overall, this unit is Super Clean inside and out! Cleaned and serviced throughout. It looks Amazing inside and out! Amazing Sound! No Scratchy potentiometers or knobs... And NO background noise! In general, what follows are the shipping parameters! Please Note: This following shipping timetable is a guideline and not set in stone. Extenuating circumstance from the shipper or from my personal life can sometimes delay shipment. Things like delays due to Covid-19 which impacts staff shortages and supply chains, multiple buys on this platform in a short amount of time for example, 10 items sold in a 7-day period, or the illness of a child or my own illness or a fire or flood or an earthquake--these things will delay shipment! I understand that most of the latter types of these occurrences are rare. But, even Huge insurance companies allow for Force Majeure (look it up). To be perfectly honest, it pains me to be forced to write this sort of shipping disclaimer but some former buyers, especially newbies, who may only be accustomed to buying on Amazon have bought from me and been irate if the item wasn't shipped in 48 hours! I am NOT Amazon! Please understand that I am only one person and if you want the rare vintage item you bought to arrive in the same condition it left me, it will take time to pack it and ship it right in any and all cases! And, if something happens like an extenuating circumstance, it will take a little more for me to pack and ship! Thank you for your understanding! So, in general, if bought and paid for Monday through Thursday, I will ship out within 72 hours (business days, not Weekends). If bought Friday, Saturday or Sunday I will ship out no later than the following Wednesday! I don't quickly or sloppily pack and ship. I agonize over picking the proper packing materials and proper boxes which I buy for the item AFTER the item is sold. I have dozens of vintage audio items available for sale and I DO NOT HAVE THEM PACKED AND READY FOR SHIPMENT BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD, I DON'T DO IT LIKE THAT! I AM NOT AMAZON OR A LARGE ONLINE COMPANY, I AM A SOLE PROPRIETOR OF A LARGE COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AUDIO ITEMS THAT MY FAMILY COLLECTED OVER 60 YEARS. When you receive your turntable in the same condition as it left me, you will thank me! Please, look at my feedback regarding Packing and Shipping! Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable If you buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently.Ships from San Marcos, CA. Packed safely and securely. I ALWAYS use the (RSS) Reverb Safe Shipping option when shipping an item I have sold in order to protect both you and me, I typically lose money on shipping because of this because RSS costs money. The more rare or valuable an item is, the more it costs to insure! In addition, I don't ship quickly or cheaply. Why sloppily throw a vintage receiver in Excellent condition into a box or poorly wrap it so it gets damaged in transit? I DO NOT DO THAT! I am meticulous with my packaging and I agonize over choosing the proper box that is ideal for each unit. Boxes, especially ones that are the correct dimensions for the item at hand are not always easy to come by. I use high quality double walled electronics boxes especially made for shipping vintage items of this type and if one box in the proper size is unavailable, I use TWO single walled corrugated cardboard boxes, putting one box with the unit in it INSIDE another larger box with even more packing material to fully protect the unit and that especially can be costly. So, the Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable if you bundle and buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently! Thanks ; )

US$1,199 is a fair price, sitting right at the 75th percentile of recent comparable USD listings where the median is US$1,170 and the 25th percentile is US$899. While not a bargain, this asking price aligns with the top end of the current used market for this specific amplifier without being egregiously ambitious.

About McIntosh

McIntosh Laboratory, founded in 1949 in the United States by Frank H. McIntosh and Gordon Gow, embodies a storied heritage of American audio innovation. Originally based in Silver Spring, Maryland, before relocating to Binghamton, New York, where products are still handcrafted today, the brand emerged from a commitment to superior sound reproduction. From powering President Lyndon Johnson's inauguration to the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound at Woodstock, McIntosh has shaped pivotal moments in music history and pop culture, earning its place as a cultural icon.

The company specializes in a comprehensive lineup of high-fidelity components, including renowned amplifiers—particularly its revered tube models for their warm, enveloping sound—along with solid-state power amps, stereo tuners, loudspeakers, turntables, music streamers, processors, and digital-to-analog converters. This breadth supports both two-channel stereo systems and multi-channel home theaters, delivering immersive experiences in music and film. Iconic blue watt meters on their gear have become globally recognized symbols of precision and power.

Positioned firmly in the high-end market, McIntosh commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its uncompromising quality, luxurious build, and timeless design. Far from mid-tier or niche boutique, it stands as a premium benchmark, favored by legendary musicians and producers across decades, blending vintage allure with modern performance for those who demand the ultimate in sonic fidelity.
