For a well-kept example, the upside is a dependable daily-use receiver with decent resale stability, especially if it’s original and unmolested. The main caveat is age: with older Pioneer gear, condition and service history matter more than cosmetics, so confirm all inputs, switches, and channels are quiet and that the unit has been tested under load.
