Our Thoughts RADAR AI

What you should ask first is: does the price line up with a real-world pair of these, or is it just a single odd listing? Based on current used-market evidence, a pair of Orpheus monoblocks shows up at about SEK 31,000 (from a $2,999 asking price converted to SEK), so kr 123,456 SEK is far above the normal used level for this model and looks ambitious to extreme rather than fair.

That matters because the Orpheus has a solid reputation as a hand-built Greek tube amp with serious transformer work and the kind of tonal density and drive tube fans chase. If this is a clean, complete, original-owner set with fresh service, great tubes, and all accessories, it still won’t explain that asking price; at this level you’d want exceptional provenance and recent maintenance documentation before even considering it.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Tsakiridis Devices

Tsakiridis Devices emerged from Greece in the late 1980s as a family-owned venture born of pure audiophile passion. Established around 1987-1989, the company began when its founders crafted high-end audio gear for themselves and fellow enthusiasts, seeking exceptional sound without extravagant costs. Handmade in Greece with premium components, their products reflect a commitment to tube-based excellence that has defined the brand's heritage ever since.

The lineup centers on valve amplifiers and preamplifiers, including standout models like the Alexander preamp and Artemis power amp, alongside integrated options such as the Aeolos. Their focus remains on tube-driven electronics—single-ended triode designs like the Achilles with 300B or 2A3 tubes—that prioritize musicality and simplicity, eschewing speakers, turntables, or digital converters.

Positioned as makers of affordable high-end audio, Tsakiridis Devices occupies a niche boutique space, delivering tube warmth and detail at accessible prices—often under $3,000—that punches above its weight. Reviewers praise their fresh tonality and ability to elevate modest speakers, cementing a reputation among discerning buyers for reliable, attractive gear that democratizes true hi-fi joy.
