Seller's Description

Serious Inquiries Only, Please!Check out my other Reverb Items for sale!SUMMER SPECIAL!ONLY ONE ON REVERB WITH ALL THE SERVICES PERFORMED! The Control board was Rebuilt, (Recapped)!PLEASE NOTE: I Provide Reverb Safe Shipping (RSS) with everything I sell and ship. And, I pay for this protection out of my own pocket. Sometimes it can cost me in excess of $100 depending on the item being protected. This coverage protects both you, the buyer, and me, the seller, against loss or damage during shipment. And, I never sell ANY of my items "As-Is". All my items are guaranteed to look and function as advertised or I will gladly accept a return. What other sellers provide that kind of service? The answer is: Very few, take a look and see!A rare and Amazing sounding plug and play 2Speed Turntable by Technics! One Rare Technics SL-QL1, Fully Automatic, 2Speed, Linear tracking turntable made from 1981-1984 with a contemporary all metal, High output Stanton L720 cartridge and Stanton e890 stylus! One of the better cartridges for Linear tracking turntables of this time period! With the Stanton e890 stylus, the cartridge is valued at around $150.Recapped and fully serviced! Works flawlessly!Super Easy to operate, one button Start and Stop with a Repeat function! The only reason why I grade this turntable as Very Good is because there are some marks on the Cover, otherwise super clean and Mint functionally! Ships 72 Hours after cleared payment, every day, but weekends! I pack, but I don't ship on weekends! And, then ships no later than the following Wednesday! In general, what follows are the shipping parameters! Please Note:This following shipping timetable is a guideline and not set in stone. Extenuating circumstance from the shipper or from my personal life can sometimes delay shipment. Things like delays due to Covid-19 which impacts staff shortages and supply chains, multiple buys on this platform in a short amount of time for example, 10 items sold in a 7-day period, or the illness of a child or my own illness or a fire or flood or an earthquake--these things will delay shipment! I understand that most of the latter types of these occurrences are rare. But, even Huge insurance companies allow for Force Majeure (look it up). To be perfectly honest, it pains me to be forced to write this sort of shipping disclaimer but some former buyers, especially newbies, who may only be accustomed to buying on Amazon have bought from me and been irate if the item wasn't shipped in 48 hours! I am NOT Amazon! Please understand that I am only one person and if you want the rare vintage item you bought to arrive in the same condition it left me, it will take time to pack it and ship it right in any and all cases! And, if something happens like an extenuating circumstance, it will take a little more for me to pack and ship! Thank you for your understanding! So, in general, if bought and paid for Monday through Thursday, I will ship out within 72 hours (business days, not Weekends). If bought Friday, Saturday or Sunday I will ship out no later than the following Wednesday! I don't quickly or sloppily pack and ship. I agonize over picking the proper packing materials and proper boxes which I buy for the item AFTER the item is sold. I have dozens of vintage audio items available for sale and I DO NOT HAVE THEM PACKED AND READY FOR SHIPMENT BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD, I DON'T DO IT LIKE THAT! I AM NOT AMAZON OR A LARGE ONLINE COMPANY, I AM A SOLE PROPRIETOR OF A LARGE COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AUDIO ITEMS THAT MY FAMILY COLLECTED OVER 60 YEARS. When you receive your turntable in the same condition as it left me, you will thank me! Please, look at my feedback regarding Packing and Shipping! Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable If you buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently.Ships from San Marcos, CA. Packed safely and securely. I ALWAYS use the (RSS) Reverb Safe Shipping option when shipping an item I have sold in order to protect both you and me, I typically lose money on shipping because of this because RSS costs money. The more rare or valuable an item is, the more it costs to insure! In addition, I don't ship quickly or cheaply. Why sloppily throw a vintage receiver in Excellent condition into a box or poorly wrap it so it gets damaged in transit? I DO NOT DO THAT! I am meticulous with my packaging and I agonize over choosing the proper box that is ideal for each unit. Boxes, especially ones that are the correct dimensions for the item at hand are not always easy to come by. I use high quality double walled electronics boxes especially made for shipping vintage items of this type and if one box in the proper size is unavailable, I use TWO single walled corrugated cardboard boxes, putting one box with the unit in it INSIDE another larger box with even more packing material to fully protect the unit and that especially can be costly. So, the Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable if you bundle and buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently!

About Technics

Technics: Japanese Precision Engineering Since 1965

Technics emerged in 1965 as a premium audio brand established by Matsushita Electric, now known as Panasonic, with headquarters in Osaka, Japan. The brand name derives from the word "technology" and was originally conceived to showcase Matsushita's high-end audio capabilities. The company's founding philosophy centered on rigorous acoustic research and engineering excellence rather than relying solely on subjective listening impressions. This commitment to scientific methodology became the cornerstone of Technics' identity and product development approach.

The brand built its reputation across a comprehensive range of audio equipment, including turntables, amplifiers, loudspeakers, CD players, tape recorders, and digital pianos. Technics achieved international prominence through its revolutionary direct-drive turntables, beginning with the SP-10 professional model in 1969 and the consumer-focused SL-1100 in 1971. The iconic SL-1200 series, introduced in 1972, fundamentally transformed DJ culture and remains highly coveted by both professional DJs and audiophiles. These turntables set new industry standards for precision engineering and reliability.

Technics occupies a distinctive position as a high-end heritage brand with particular strength in the turntable segment. While the company largely withdrew from consumer markets in the early 2000s, the brand has maintained prestige among serious audio enthusiasts and collectors. Today, Technics represents a bridge between vintage audio collecting and contemporary hi-fi, with its products commanding respect for their build quality, sonic performance, and historical significance in audio culture.
