That said, the A21a has a strong reputation for natural, unfatiguing class-A-ish sound with real drive and tone, so a clean one can be worth stretching for if you want that particular Sugden presentation. If it’s original, quiet, and hasn’t been heavily serviced or modified, the value is in getting a well-kept example of a cult-favourite integrated; just make sure the condition is truly excellent and that there’s nothing hidden in the power supply or output stage.
