The PA 3100 HV is a further development of the PA 3000 HV, and most of its subassemblies are identical. The immediately noticeable difference is the pair of VU meters on the front panel, which display the power generated per channel in logarithmic form in watts into 4 ohms. A revision of the preamplifier section (DC coupling) has further improved sound quality. Another development is the redesigned analog network section and voltage supply, similar to that of the A 3000 HV. This allows the connection of the additional PS 3000 AT network section to further increase the stability and performance of the overall power supply system. The additional unit provides an additional 1800 watts of power, allowing the system to effortlessly control even the most demanding speakers, enabling them to deliver the best possible sound quality. The PA 3000 HV and PA 3100 HV can also be optionally equipped with high-end phono preamplifier modules featuring different circuit topologies to accommodate MM or MC systems. It is also possible to install the analog signal processor module developed for the P 3000 HV to provide separate tone and volume functions per channel. The all-metal F3001 infrared remote control is included as standard. As with the P 3000 HV, the circuit topology is based on a differential cascode amplifier with individually selected audio J-FET transistors and fully discrete stages without operational amplifiers (op-amps). This circuit layout and the quality of the components used require virtually no overall negative feedback. The high operating voltage of the HV technology is the key to excellent linearity combined with an extremely wide dynamic range: signals up to 60 Vss can be processed without distortion. In the HV series, switching and signal regulation functions are performed by gas-tight, encapsulated gold-contact relays, completely immune to contact problems caused by corrosion, dust, etc., and are not affected by aging even after many years of operation. The preamplifier also uses bistable relays, which require no permanent coil current, eliminating any negative inductive effects on audio signals. Direct integration of the relays into the circuit minimizes signal paths, and the connecting cables required for conventional volume potentiometers are no longer necessary. The volume control is assembled using discrete precision resistors and gold-contact relays. The result is absolutely precise channel matching, free of distortion and hiss.

T+A, a pinnacle of German hi-fi engineering, traces its roots to 1978 when physicist Siegfried Amft founded the company in Herford, northwest Germany. Standing for "Theorie und Anwendung in der Elektroakustik" (Theory and Application in Electroacoustics), it began with a bold vision: crafting exceptional audio products despite limited resources. Amft's early focus on loudspeakers evolved rapidly into electronics, establishing T+A as a family-run enterprise driven by scientific curiosity and relentless innovation.
The brand excels across a broad spectrum of high-end categories, from meticulously engineered amplifiers and cutting-edge music players to top-tier separates, compact Hi-Fi systems, and all-in-one solutions. Its loudspeakers, both passive and active, remain a cornerstone, complemented by pioneering digital components like the world's first DSD 1024-capable player. This comprehensive range spans analog and digital domains, catering to audiophiles seeking uncompromising performance.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, T+A commands respect as Germany's market leader and one of the world's most influential hi-fi marques. Renowned for pushing technological boundaries—through ties to elite technical universities and in-house R&D—it delivers products that blend engineering precision with emotional musicality, appealing to discerning buyers who demand the ultimate in fidelity.
